Now hiring: Strategic Community Partnership Manager

We are adding a full-time Strategic Community Partnership Manager position to our executive team. This is a hybrid remote and office-based position. Individuals with lived experiences with homelessness or unstable housing, as well as those identifying as a person of color or other marginalized populations are encouraged to apply.

Status: Full Time Non-exempt (37 hours per week)

Starting Compensation: $27/hr. to $31/hr. depending on experience

About Elpis Enterprises:

Elpis Enterprises is a not-for-profit organization that operates social enterprises as the framework for its employment readiness training and career pathway building for young people experiencing homelessness or unstable housing in Ramsey and Hennepin counties. We use the multi-faceted aspects of our small businesses to provide an introduction to diverse careers that build on an individual trainee’s unique interests, skills, and passion.

Position Summary:

The strategic community partnership manager will identify partners and cultivate relationships that support Elpis Enterprises’ mission, which focuses on supporting young people in developing and launching a career pathway. The strategic community partnership manager will be building on strong accomplishments achieved to date by the executive director, business development manager, career counselor, and various consultants (e.g. grant writer, marketing).

The goal of adding this position is to create: a) new customers, which support the impactful paid work experiences in our social enterprises for our trainees; b) paid internships or employment after completing our program; and c) new financial donors.

Responsibilities:

  • Deepen relationships with current partners, vendors, and customers, as well as create new partnerships with an emphasis on the business community.

  • Cultivate relationships with organizations and businesses that can be referral resources (e.g., trainees to our program, post-Elpis opportunities for graduates).

  • Develop funding and volunteer engagement relationships with local businesses for our Hands on Hope component that introduces Elpis trainees and graduates to the business community.

  • Represent Elpis at various community events and meetings.

  • Assist with the development of marketing material for our social enterprises and training components.

  • Assist with using various social media platforms to increase the visibility of Elpis’ mission, programs, and social enterprises.

  • Assist with fundraising events (typically twice a year).

  • Effectively communicate with business leaders.

  • Experience and skills in making and delivering presentations to individuals and groups.

  • Make calls (warm and cold-phone/email or in person) to individuals, local businesses, civic groups, and similar organizations.

  • Problem-solve and be self-motivated.

  • Multi-task and independently manage your time.

  • Use a laptop and be adept at Microsoft Office, e-mail, virtual meeting platforms.

  • Commitment and passion for creating an inclusive workforce.

  • Preference is given to candidates with similar lived experiences as our trainees (e.g., have experienced being unhoused or unstable housing, identify as a person of color).

Education, Experience, Certifications, Licenses:

  • A bachelor’s degree and/or three to five years of experience and demonstrated accomplishments in increasing sales or funds raised

  • Have a valid license, clean driving record, and vehicle to use for business

Working Conditions:

  • Frequently required to sit for an extended period of time. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

  • COVID 19 vaccination is required

Compensation:

Range: $56,160 to $64,480. We offer PTO and a 410 K plan.

Elpis reimburses at the IRS rate for use of a personal vehicle for Elpis-related business.
