As 2024 comes to a close, we at Elpis Enterprises still need your support to help our
interns. We currently have multiple fundraisers: our Mental Health Program, holiday
fundraiser, and Give to the Max Day on November 21.
We are currently at $5,000 for our Mental Health Support Program and are still needing
$5,000 matched to help provide services for our interns and staff. A $25 donation will
provide one intern a 30-minute session with a professional therapist, $50 will give an
intern a full-hour session with a therapist, $100 helps provide an hour of group therapy,
and $250 provides training for our staff to be equipped in ‘mental health first aid.’ You’re
also welcome to make a custom donation in any amount to help us match $5,000 to
what we’ve already raised.
We understand that absence from work due to any issues mental health, or otherwise,
impacts their paycheck. Colleagues and employers can struggle to provide support
while dealing with lost assistance and unplanned absences. We know mental health is a
workforce issue and without these tools and resources, employment success and a
sense of belonging within the community are difficult to achieve.
As the weather becomes colder, we are also asking for your support in providing
support for winter clothing, hygiene supplies, grocery gift cards, etc. You can find our full
list of items we are asking for this winter at the bottom of this page, but most importantly we ask that clothing
item donations are not too worn out (no holes or tears) and no hygiene products
have been used already, everything must be brand new.
Lastly, Give to the Max Day is on Thursday, November 21 this year, and Elpis
Enterprises currently have a matching amount of $3,800. We are hoping to have your
support on Give to the Max Day to match this amount of $3,800 and provide more to
keep Elpis Enterprises growing in the services it can provide to youth experiencing
homelessness in 2025.
