Land of 10,000 Diverse 4th Grade Birdwatchers finishes the 2022-2023 school year visiting 37 schools with 2,141 students who participated tuition free! Huge thank you to Uptown VFW, Northern Taphouse, and all of the private sponsors for making this possible. Thank you to all the schools/teachers who hosted our team and had their students experience success in the project. 100% of the teachers said they want this to be an annual tradition in their classrooms going forward! Our interns gained valuable career readiness experiences, leadership, mechanical skills, and other confidences to prepare themselves for a potential trades, childcare, or education career when the end of their internship. Our goal for the 2023-2024 school year is to double the number of participants and get to the 23 other schools that are on the growing wishlist.
