Whenever staff members at Elpis Enterprises are out in the community, we are often asked how people can volunteer with us. We have not been able to provide a clear answer to that question for a while, but that is one major change happening at Elpis as the calendar has now flipped to 2025.
This is our first announcement to kick off the new year. Elpis is introducing a new volunteer program for our business partners and community members. We are hosting company volunteer groups to build our small bird feeders to be used for promotional and educational purposes. These workshops will be facilitated by interns in our program to help build skills and experiences in facilitating groups.
The building workshop will be from 1 – 2 hours and will be held at the Elpis woodworking facility in St. Paul. This will allow groups to visit the Elpis site and learn more about our work with youth experiencing homelessness. The group size is approximately 8-10 people per session.
